摘要

For the purpose of improving understanding of the shear behavior of geosynthetic-reinforced unbound granular soils, the authors present an insightful experimental study on different granular soils reinforced by planar and three-dimensional (3D) geogrids. The discussers appreciate the research conducted by the authors. The discussers would like to share some points regarding the practicality of 3D geogrids in reinforced soil structures, and provide a research-based discussion of the influence of soil particle size on the shear behavior of geosynthetic-reinforced soils.
