Selected papers from the 2nd French-Brazilian meeting on nanoscience, nanotechnology and nanobiotechnology: International Centre of Condensed Matter Physics, Universidade de Brasilia, Brasilia - Brazil - December 10-14, 2012

The French-Brazilian meeting on Nanoscience, Nanotechnology and Nanobiotechnology has been held at the International Centre of Condensed Matter Physics (ICCMP) of the University of Brasilia (UnB) in Brasilia (DF) from 10 to 14 December, 2012. This is the second of a series that began in 2007 (Braz. J. Phys., vol. 39, pp. 134-255 (2009)). The next one being scheduled in 2015. The purpose of these meetings is to bring together some of the most active members of the French and Brazilian communities working on the fascinating nanoworld and its applications for a presentation and discussion of their recent results in the research field of nano-science and nano-applications. In this second edition, the organizing Committee has decided to open the meeting to several leading researchers of other countries.
