Massey University, in New Zealand, has offered distance learning (extramural) education for over fifty years. The history of the university's library services to its distance learning students is chronicled by Bruce White from its humble, solo librarian beginnings through the decades to the current day. White was directly involved with the distance library service from 1984 until 1997, and was commissioned in 2010 to write about its history. The result is a slender, clearly-written book that is a short read being only 86 pages including references.
