Since 1993 the availability of online government information has skyrocketed and its impact on Federal Depository libraries has been dramatic. New York State is an excellent microcosm for examining the dramatic changes facing federal depository libraries. This article examines the results of a survey of New York State federal depository libraries and some of the changes they have undergone as they transition to online government information.
