This is a very interesting book on two accounts: firsdy, the editors' attempt, in Chapter 2, 'New Approaches to Ethnicity and Diaspora in Twentieth-Century Latin America', to break away from the ghetto of Jewish studies and place Jewish-Latin Americans in the wider contexts of ethnicity and diaspora studies while adopting a critical view regarding scholarship on the Jewish past in Latin America; and secondly, the contents of the selected articles of this edited volume.
