Light Rail Transit - a safe means of transport: Findings of a UITP Light Rail Committee working group

Prompted by debates in several countries on the safety of Light Rail systems operating in the public street area, the UITP Light Rail Committee took the initiative to examine the issue. A working group made up of committee members from The Hague, Dusseldorf, Stuttgart and Vienna reviewed the following question: As a means of transport, is Light Rail safer than individual transport?
