摘要

The discussers would like to thank the authors of the original paper for focusing on a popular flood-routing approach, the nonlinear Muskingum model. They proposed a parameterized initial storage condition to increase the degrees of freedom of the model. For the parameter estimation, a weed optimization algorithm (WOA) was applied. The authors of the discussed paper applied their methodology on three flood-routing examples (including a smooth single-peak hydrograph, a nonsmooth single-peak hydrograph, and a multiple-peak hydrograph) for comparison purposes in the calibration phase. Whereas the authors' intention is laudable, the discussers would like to add a few points.
