The IASS-SLTE 2014 Symposium, encompassing the annual IASS Symposium and the 6th Latin-American Symposium on Tension Structures, will take place from 15 to 19 September, 2014, in Brasilia, during an exciting period in Brazil, soon after the 2014 World Cup, and prior to the 2016 Olympic Games. It will be an outstanding opportunity to display many novel and daring structures, built for these events and for the urban revitalizations aimed to improve the quality of life of Brazilian citizens and welcome visitors from all over the world. It will be also an opportunity to celebrate the masterpieces of Oscar Niemeyer and Lucio Costa, designers of Brazil's Capital, the only modern city included in UNESCO's World Heritage List.
