INDUSTRY MUST TACKLE CYBER CRIME

Over 75 % of UK companies do not take cyber risks into consideration when decision making, according to a survey from the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills. Just 14% of 350 FTSE firms surveyed said that they regularly consider cyber threats. Despite this low figure, 62% of companies thought that their board members took the cyber risk very seriously, while 60% claimed to understand what their key information and data assets were.
