A Modeling Method in Financial Workflow Using Petri Nets

Workflow charts are commonly used to describe workflow nets and Petri nets strictly distinguish the function and execution of activities, which could be combined together to model to ensure the accuracy and reliability of workflow nets. This paper comes up with a mapping relationship between workflow charts and Petri nets, takes a simplified financial reimbursement workflow as an example for modeling and presents how to turn a financial workflow chart into a Petri net model, which is proved strictly and mathematically to be rational in the end. It also discusses some rules to simplify the model to make sure its correctness and lays the theoretical foundation for financial workflow model as a new method.
