摘要

The paper presents a new tuning method of print quality by varied ink thickness. To the best of our knowledge, ink thickness has not been previously employed as an important significance for the printing production guiding. In particular, the modified Neugebauer equation possesses notably elevated calculation accuracy bearing the compensation factors (nR=3.0, nG=2.75, nB=2.5), and then the reflectance of RGB can be computed using this equation. In this paper, the main density was defined by counting the color separation density. The model of equivalent ink thickness was established by calculating the integral density. The results show that the corrected sum of squares between the calculated and measured ink thickness are yellow=0.00232, magenta=0.02789, cyan=0.02108, black=0.05529, respectively. Based on the above elements, the control of print quality can be breezily realized by the convenient ink thickness.
