摘要

The present work compares the batch (once addition of waste) and batch-fed (daily addition of waste without removing worm casting) system of paper mill solid waste Vermicomposting. The effect of system types on nutrient content, earthworm biomass and biodegrada-tion rate was studies for 30 days. The environmental parameters (temperature, moisture and pH) were monitored. The system type does not have significant effect on nutrient content, biodegradation rate and environmental parameters. The earthworm biomass production was high in batch fed system compared to batch system. Thus, batch-fed system is better than the batch system only in terms of biomass production.
