摘要

There are various technologies available for the treatment of sewage and sewage treatment plant based on the different technologies in practice. One of the most challenging aspects of a sustainable sewage treatment system (either centralized or decentralized) design is the analysis and selection of the treatment processes and technologies capable of meeting the requirements. The process is to be selected based on required quality of treated water. Other due considerations for the selection of Appropriate sewage treatment technology are Low cost with Minimum possible Mechanization, Simple in operation, suitable for incremental improvement, recycle and reuse oriented. The study involves the techno economic comparison of various Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) technologies with a view to adopt sustainable treatment technology for pollution abatement and augmentation of water resources.
