From the Editor

摘要

Welcome to another year of the Journal of Imaging Science and Technology. As we complete our first decade of publication in the 21st century, it is appropriate to consider changes which have impacted our field of endeavor in this period of time. We are currently looking forward to the 2010 (31st) International Congress of Imaging Science to be held in Beijing this coming May; its theme will be imaging science and technology in the digital age.1 This is a far cry from an IS&T conference held only 10 years ago whose overly optimistic theme was silver halide photography in the new millennium.
