摘要

The objectives of publication of the Journal of Hydroscience and Hydraulic Engineering is to introduce Japanese research activities in hydraulics and related fields to the world and to advance the international exchange of academic information by calling for papers internationally in future.rnThe Journal covers the fields of hydraulics, hydrology, river-engineering, water-power engineering, sanitary engineering, coastal engineering and new fields to be developed in the science of water engineering. 'Hydroscience' means the papers concerned with fundamental principles, and 'Hydraulic Engineering' is named in the sense that the Journal emphasizes practical application, too. Thus, the Journal shall be developed by interdependency of both basic and applied sciences.
