摘要

The writers first wish to thank the discusser for his interest in the paper and his thoughtful comments. As statistical modeling encompasses various research areas, we were not aware of Dr. Hutchison's study (1992), which certainly reveals interesting findings regarding tail behavior in bivariate applications. While our paper concerns hydrological frequency analysis, Hutchison's works address probabilistic disease transmission modeling. Both approaches are clearly complementary, and a precise comparison is established in this closure.
