Spirituality as a Protective Factor Against Female Gang Membership

摘要

This research analyzed the relationship between spirituality and gang membership. Spirituality can mediate the effect of negative characteristics within an individual's life including gang membership. For this study, incarcerated females were asked to self report gang membership and level of spirituality and religiosity to determine if spirituality served as a protective factor against gang membership.
