THE GAP: A Shortage of Affordable Homes is o new report by the National Low Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC) that uses 2015 American Community Survey (ACS) data to measure the availability of rental housing that is affordable to extremely low-income [ELI) households (earning at or below the poverty guideline or 30 percent of their area median income [AMI]) and other income groups.
