The book is organized in three sections: augmented spaces, augmenting communities, and planning challenges in the augmented city.rnThe first section is devoted to a conceptual analysis of "the relationship and combination of physical and digital environments." As Aurigi puts it, augmented urban space "happens as a consequence of our urban space-bound usage of mobile or internet technologies and its articulations go well beyond the simple direct impacts of some specialist-and not necessarily very widespread-devices."
