A packed ring with buyers from all parts of the UK saw a great sale for the Holgate family's superb Aliann herd on the aptly-named High Head Farm in North Yorkshire. An impressive catalogue, with many of the Holstein breed's best families backed by exceptional type and production, drew buyers from all four UK countries. Several left with empty trailers as, after lot 1 made 5,500 guineas, the trade remained buoyant throughout.
