A Review of Proposals Submitted to the UN Sub-Committee of Experts on the Transport of Dangerous Goods To Be Considered at the 40th Session

From November 28 to December 7, 2011, the UN Sub-Committee of Experts on the Transport of Dangerous Goods (SCTDG) will meet in Geneva, Switzerland to continue its work on the development of the 18th revised edition of the Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods Model Regulations (Model Regulations). The SCTDG agenda will address twenty-six formal proposals in five general topic areas as well as six informal papers. Those general topics are: 1. Listing, classification and packing 2. Electric storage systems 3. Miscellaneous proposals of amendments to the Model Regulations 4. Cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) 5. Global harmonization of transport of dangerous goods regulations.
