Report on the 55th Session of the United Nations Subcommittee of Experts on the Transport of Dangerous Goods: PART 1: Management Summary

The 55th Session was the first meeting of the current biennium, a cycle of four meetings over two years to amend, revise, and establish new model regulations for the next edition of the Model Regulations for the Transport of Dangerous Goods. The meeting was chaired by Dwayne Pfund (US) and Vice Chaired by Claude Pfauvedel (France). This report is presented in three sections starting with a management summary which follows, a Part 11 section covering other subject areas including packing and classification, and Part III, energy storage systems (lithium batteries). Explosives will be covered in the September/October 2019 edition.
