摘要

The results of drilling experiments of SiCw/6061Al composite indicates that the parameter of drilling force F/M (ratio of thrust force to drilling torque) for SiCw/6061Al composite is more than doubled compared with that for 45 steel, the tensile strength of which is nearly the same as that of the composite. The results of tensile and compressive experiments show that the compressive strain is much larger than the tensile strain, and the compressive strength of the composite is larger than tensile strength, which is the reason why F/M for SiCw/6061Al composite is larger than that for 45 steel.
