In his book Carlos Ulises Moulines presents, as the title ('The development of modern philosophy of science (1890-2000). A historical introduction') suggests, the development of the modern philosophy of science of the last century. It is the author's intention to give a general historical overview of this topic and to address a readership of experts in different disciplines who are, however, not accomplished in these matters (cf. p. If). The subject index and the index of names at the end of the book support this goal.
