The selection committee has chosen Michael C. Jensen as the 2010 recipient of the Morgan Stanley-American Finance Association Award for Excellence in Finance. Professor Jensen is the Jesse Isidor Straus Professor of Business Administration Emeritus at the Harvard Business School.rnProfessor Jensen received his PhD from the University of Chicago, where his 1967 dissertation was entitled "Risk, the Pricing of Capital Assets, and the Evaluation of Investment Portfolios." The chairman of his dissertation committee was Eugene Fama, and the other members were Lawrence Fisher, Merton Miller, and Harry Roberts.
