Please Mr. Brog, give us your data! Reply to the comment of Wall, Brog, Erl, Ryle, & Barta on our paper 'The effectiveness of soft transport policy measures: A critical assessment and meta-analysis of empirical evidence'

We want to start our response to the comment by Wall et al. with the points where we obviously agree: Providing a reliable and valid evidence basis for the effectiveness of personalized travel planning (FTP) is an issue of public interest since tax payers' money is at stake. We share the view that the synthesis of quantitative evaluation data and statistical meta-analysis provides a scientifically more rigorous approach than the traditional narrative review. The differences between Wall et al. and our findings relates neither to the mission of our paper nor the used method, but to the data basis of our meta-analysis. More precisely, Wall et al. see serious errors in the data used as inputs to our meta-analysis of the effects of PTPs. They lament incorrect assertions about research design and methods used by SocialData. Moreover, they criticize the treatment of different types of intervention as one set. They also create the impression that we were not interested in their support when conducting our meta-analysis.
