Objectives Of Sustainable Development In The Hunedoara County

The paper seeks to present several of the objectives of sustainable development in the Hunedoara county. The main issues of sustainable development concept are focused on efficient use of the human and economical resources, and also on environmental protection. The Hunedoara county confronts with many heavy problems such as rehabilitation of wastewaters, polluted soils and air, because the industrial activities do not have adequate equipments for wastewaters or burning gases treatment. For the evaluation of the sustainable development objectives in the Hunedoara county, we have focused on four directions: environmental protection, eradication of poverty, improvement of life quality, and also on efficient local economic development. The other important aspect which is envisaged, is the degree of involvement of the local private sector for local economical development, the measures adopted by the public authorities for the reduction of unemployment and for the maintenance of a stable level of economic growth. Because in the Hunedoara county the average net nominal monthly earnings at the 2004 level were greater than the average monthly earnings of national and regional level, the eradication of poverty is not the main question of the public authority.
