BACTERIOLOGICAL INVESTIGATIONS OF WELLS WATER NEAR THE SHKODRA LAKE

Bacteriological investigations of wells water near the Shkodra Lake include a lot of parameters, which are important for monitoring the water from a hygienic point of view. Bacteriological and chemical results obtained from these investigations are an important factor to evaluate the hygienic situation of the wells in the villages near the Shkodra lake. According to preliminary investigations the Shkodra/Skadar lake is exposed to the influence of different pollutions, which influence the quality of wells water near the villages of the Shkodra lake. The presence of Esc herichia coli, Streptococcus faecalis and other coliform bacteria in the wells in the villages near the Shkodra lake depends on input waste waters, agricultural sources, but the abundance of these bacteria depends on temperature, pH, oxygen demand, etc. All bacteriological and chemical analyses are performed in accordance with the European Standard Methods and Standard Method WHO.
