ASPECTS REGARDING THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF ECONOMIC AGENTS TO THE ENVIRONMENT FUND

This article begins by defining the Romanian Environment Fund, identifying its sources and describing the legislative developments in this field. Then, it presents a 5-year survey (2004-2008) on companies that contribute to the Fund. A specific case study is selected to present aspects of the methodology for calculating these contributions and indicators that quantify the influence of the Fund on company performance. The article addresses at the end the issue of Environment Fund contributions in 2009 and future perspectives.
