GENERATION OF DIGITAL TERRAIN MODEL FOR A FLOOD AREA

Starting with the decade 1991-2000 a global increase in frequency and intensity of manifestation of natural disasters was observed. One of the reasons for this growth is the warming of global climate. Floods are one of the largest natural disasters affecting many countries throughout the year. In this paper are presented some aspects regarding the characteristics of the digital terrain model and the technological flux of digital terrain model generation for a flood area in the Timis county.
