摘要

Water is one of the indispensable elements for the existence and continuation of living beings. Water is one of the indispensable natural sources in the nature. With the effect of increasing population and difficult environmental conditions, it is quite important to set a good planning for protection and use of water as a result of increasing demand for water. However, the balance between water requirement and water resources worsens every day, population pressure on resources increases. In the scale of globalising world, problems increase with the effect of warming and climate changes, it is thought that decrease of usable freshwater bodies would pose a serious problem. Due to these risks, there is an increasing number of studies about potential effects of climate changes in recent years. Therefore, in this study, the extent to which Iznik lake has been affected by climate change has been investigated. Meteorological and hydrological data of the basin have been used in the study. Analysis of these data was made by using the innovative Sen method. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that Iznik Lake has been affected by climate changes. Some recommendations have been made to reduce the effects of the climate change.
