摘要

This book makes for salutary reading for anyone who is seeking to understand current ecological thinking-and for a lawyer in particular it is hugely thought-provoking, not least in that it lays bare the fundamental challenges in dialogue across disciplinary divides that do so much to complicate environmental governance. Having said this, the book also identifies core areas of concern that are only too familiar to anyone, regardless of academic discipline, who has spent time considering environmental concerns, clustering around the central question of generating ecological responsibility and resultant behaviour change in an age of unfettered individualism within a world view that is dominated by economics.
