Conference Report for the President's Council on Sustainable Development National Town Meeting in Detroit

On May 2-5, 1999, The National Town Meeting for a sustainable America (NTM) was held in Detroit, Michigan. There were 3, 200 Attendees and an estimated 100, 000 participants in related events. The Meeting consisted of learning sessions presented by a broad range of Public, private, and nonprofit sector organizations; an exhibit hall fea- Turing approximately 250 exhibitors; several plenary sessions and Events; and a keynote address by Vice President Al Gore.
