摘要

Most solar panels in use today arc stationary, and therefore do not output the maximum amount of power that they can actually produce. This paper describes a senior design project that utilizes solar power to its full potential by tracking the sun throughout the day. The project aims to design and implement a two-axis sun tracking solar power system that changes the position of the solar panel during the time of the day and during the season of the year in order to maximize the solar radiation degree of use. 7he design is approached as a mechatronic system, by integrating an electronic system and an embedded control system in a mechanical structure of the solar tracker.
