HD, Optical Discs Grab Spotlight as IFA Goes Annual

High-definition (HD) TVs and advanced optical discs were the showcased products at IFA2006, Europe's largest trade show for consumer electronics. The IFA, formally known as the Internationale Funkausstellung and informally dubbed the Berlin Fair, took place in Berlin from September 1 to 6. Formerly held just once every two years, this year's IFA was the first held one year after the previous IFA. The IFA will be an annual event from now on.
