Teac Corporation has recently introduced the X-05 Super Audio CD (SACD) player at around ¥504,000 (US$4,582). It features the VRDS-NEO mechanism that employs a high-precision aluminum turntable. Aside from high-precision reading function, it features thoroughly enhanced reliability and low noise characteristic even for the operation of opening and closing of the tray. The audio digital-to-analog converter employs a device with 24-bit/192kHz capability from Cirrus Logic in the dual/monoaural configuration. The player has independent analog audio circuits in the left and the right sides with the same configuration.
