World's PV Power Capacity on Track to Quadruple by 2013

The world's photovoltaic (PV) power generation capacity is expected to climb 22 percent this year to 6.8GW this year, and, by 2013, that capacity will nearly quadruple to 22.3GW, according to the European Photovoltaic Industry Association (EPIA), Europe's leading PV industry association. The average annual growth rate during this period will be as high as 32 percent.
