摘要

This paper describes a real-time system based on image processing algorithms by using Active Appearance Model technique for alignment process. The motivation of this research is the need for reducing children abduction cases. The system will be implemented at the gate of any nursery or kindergarten, where children gather. Camera will be fixed at the gate near the bell to detect the face of visitor after identifying the identity of visitor pressing the bell. Visitor face will be compared with data stored by using Galileo system. Open CV software will be used for face recognition process and to calculate X and Y coordinate of the face. Galileo Intel board will analyze eye blinks to make sure of the face of the person. If recognized as authorized, Galileo will automatically open the gate. Otherwise, the system will make a video call to the owner of the building through their smart phone. The owner will communicate directly with the visitor using wireless network and can choose to open the gate by using their smart phone as a controller. This project prevents child abduction and the parents will feel more secured to send their child to the nursery. The project is flexible, time efficient and cost effective. Active Appearance Model algorithms for face recognition developed in this project can also be used for human face reconstruction for those involved in an accident and have major loss in the face, and also to identify dead people face by using hard tissue.
