The Air Force Research Lab Sensors Directorate (AFRL/RQK), (Wright-Patterson AFB, OH), has released a pre-so-licitation announcement for the Precise Reference Sensing for Cognitive EW (PRESENCE) program. Cognitive EW leverages artificial intelligence technology to adapt to rapidly changing electromagnetic environments where communications and navigation could be degraded or disrupted by enemy activities such as jamming. PRESENCE will conduct technology research for the performance of Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR) including electronic attack (EA), electronic protection (EP), and electronic support (ES) techniques for cognitive electronic warfare (EW) applications; Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS); position, navigation and timing assurance (PNTA); software defined radio (SDR); modeling, simulation, wargaming and analysis (MSW&A), and scintillation and hypersonic MSW&A experiments.
