Editorial

Welcome to a new volume of JELIS. With this volume, we assume the co-editorship of the journal. Before we introduce ourselves, profound thanks are offered to Peta Wellstead, under whose editorship the journal maintained a tradition of excellence; her work is greatly appreciated. By way of introduction, Denice Adkins is associate professor at the University of Missouri, former secretary-treasurer for the Association for Library and Information Science Education (ALISE), and former president of REFORMA (the National Association to Promote Library & Information Services to Latinos and the Spanish-speaking). Denice has editorial-board and reviewing experience for several LIS journals. John Budd is professor emeritus at the University of Missouri and past ALISE president; he has some experience editing another journal and a monograph series. John has published numerous journal articles and books and hopes that his work will stand him in good stead as co-editor. We are excited about this opportunity and vow to continue the quality and reputation of JELIS.
