Individual and synergistic larvicidal activity of aqueous crude leaf extract of Anisomeles malabarica (Lamiaceae) and insecticide Rocket 44% EC were carried out on the fourth instar larvae of Culex quinquefaseiatus LC_(50) values of the synergistic mixtures of the aqeous leaf extract of A. malabarica (280 ppm) with different concentrations of Rocket 44% EC 0.00000011 to (0.0000002 ppm) with different concentrations of A. malabarica (210 to 300 ppm) against the fourth instar larvae of C.quinquefasciatus was 280.00000014 ppm and 259.92 ppm respectively. Developmental abnormalities, such as. larval - pupal intermediates, pupal - adult intermediates and entangling of adult in the exuviae were obserged in the higher concentrations of the test solutions. The larval pupal durations were prolonged for two and one day at higher concentration respectively. The SF value for two and one day at higher concentration respectively. The SF value for the aqueous leaf extrract of Anisomeles malabarica (280 ppm) with different concentration of Rocket 44% EC and Rocket 44% EC (0.0000002 ppm) with different concentrations of A. malabarica was 2.009 and 2.164 respectively indication the synergism of sthe test solutions. The study suggested that synergistic mixtures were more effective to control the mosquitoe larvae.
