Biochemical parameters were studied exposing Labeo rohita to CrCl_2, NiCl_2 and ZnCl_2 for 30 days. After 10 days of exposure to CrCl_2, NiCl_2 and ZnCl_2 blood glucose was increased by 48.11, 71.71 and 68.35%, respectively. However, after 20 and 30 days of treatment significant decrease in glucose level was recorded (5.48, 6.57 % for CrCl_2, 6.69, 13.25 % for NiCl_2 and 16.32, 34.73 % for ZnCl_2 treatment). Elevation in the serum protein, SGOT and SGPT content was recorded in all the selected metals for 30 days. Protein and glycogen contents of liver and muscle were depleted in all the experimental fish.
