A research work was initiated 10 assess the effect of application of enriched composted municipal solid waste (MSWC) on physico-chemical properties of soil.Application of enriched compost recorded significantly decreased soil pH,hulk density and increased soil EC and organic carbon.Bulk density values ranged from 1.01 to 1.25 g cc~(-1) in the composi added plots.The porosity values ranged from 45.1 to 56.1 percent at harvest stage.The pH of the soil ranged between 8.15 -8.40,7.99 - 8.29 and 7.98 - 8.29 at 30 days after transplantation (DAT).60 DAT and at harvest stages,respectively.Application of MSWC,after enrichment and without enrichment marked a change in initial pH of the soil.The soil electrical conductivity ranged from 0.57 to 0.78,0.33 to 0.58 and 0.52 to 0.63 dS m~(-1)' at 30 DAT,60 DAT and at harvest stage,respectively.In general,the organic carbon content of soil increased due to compost application upto 30 DAT.The organic carbon content of soil varied between 0.67 and 0.87 per cent at 30 DAT.The corresponding values for 60 DAT varied from 0.65 to 0.85 per cent and at harvest stage it varied from 0.64 to 0,83 per cent.
