摘要

The mineral admixtures such as Fly ash (FA), by product of thermal power plant and High Reactivity Metakaolin (MK.) were used in the production of high strength concrete. The fly ash (constant percentage of 10 %) and metakaolin (5 %, 7.5 % & 10 %) were mixed with concrete. The coinpressive strength obtained for the mixes such as M2, M3 and M4 ( 5 % MK, 10 % FA). The increase in compressive strength for the HPC is 5 9.09 %, 11.07 % and 7.1% higher compared to control specimens at the age of 28 days. The durability study of water absorption test was conducted on high strength specimens. It is found that the high strength concrete specimen shown reduced water obsorption compared to control specimen (ordinary concrete).Hence the fly ash can be used in the production of high strength concrete which result in minimizing the disposal of fly ash avoiding pollution.
