摘要

According to Dwyer (2018), a radical shift toward a more responsible tourism is necessary. A possible pathway in this sense could originate from attitudinal and behavioural changes among relevant stakeholders, primarily tourism providers, destination management organizations (DMOs), tourists and host communities. This shift is described as the stakeholders becoming aware of their responsibility and acting consequently. This is also the core of ethical tourism action, as discussed by Tribe (2002) in her consideration of the complementary aspects of thinking and doing.
