THESE NINE paper by seventeen authors are from a conference about monetary policy. The papers are by and large technically uncompromising yet at - tempt to provide practical advice. They represent enormous research effort and are full of stimulating ideas. There are enough differences of view to stoke the reader's interest, but enough commonal - ity of view that the papers provide im - plicit commentary on each other.
