Editorial Introduction

摘要

This volume contains the papers presented at the Thirteenth International Conference on Metal Organic Vapor Phase Epitaxy (ICMOVPE-XIII), which was held from May 22 to 26, 2006, at the Phoenix Seagaia Resort, Miyazaki, Japan. The conference focused on the recent advances in the fundamental and applied aspects of the MOVPE technology, following the strong tradition of this conference series previously held in Ajaccio (1981), Sheffield (1984), Los Angeles (1986), Hakone (1988), Aachen (1990), Cambridge (1992), Yokohama (1994), Cardiff (1996), La Jolla (1998), Sapporo (2000), Berlin (2002) and Maui (2004). There were 532 participants coming to Miyazaki, which is rich in natural beauties of the Pacific coastlines as well as legendary stories about Japanese ancesters.
