Have you ever wondered how people make traffic deci-sions on the road? What makes a driver brake when they should have swerved? Why did they hit a car when they could have positioned themselves to see it com-ing? Why is it that what seems so obvious to some drivers is a complicated choice or action for another? One of the main reasons this happens is simply every drivers field of vision is different from another and in addition their ability to predict what visual clues to look for differs as well. These two variables are what gives each driver a different perception of a situation. Think about watching a football game, have you ever wondered why the quarterback threw for an interception rather than pass to the wide-open receiver in another part of the field? The quarter back can see the entire field but not from the same vantage point of you while you're sitting at home.
