In an unusually well-composed volume on the linkage and overlapping between issues of justice and security after war, Charles T. Call has - in his volume Constructing Justice and Security After War - brought forward our understanding of this emerging field of research and practice. This is done through a systematic approach -as much as that is possible in an anthology - to some key security and justice issues recurring in situations that share some basic common characteristics - basically those of post-conflict societies. Call has chosen to include cases from the Balkans, Africa, and Latin America and the Caribbean, plus East Timor. The choice of cases can always be discussed, but the point in this volume is to provide a scope of cases that contribute with a qualitative input of different kinds of experiences, into a yet systematized whole. Overall, and maybe with one exception, this volume succeeds in its effort to do so.
