A method and system for scaled physical ultrasonic modeling of radar systems for receiving and processing high-resolution radar images for recognizing objects are described. The principles and capabilities of ultrasonic modeling in designing radar systems are considered. For the system of ultrasonic modeling designed by applying digital processing of echo-signals on a PC, the block diagram and the characteristics of the hardware and software are presented. Radar images of air objects obtained with the help of their scaled acoustic models are presented. These images were obtained in investigations of a high-resolution radar system that uses the mode of inversed aperture synthesis of the antenna and probing signals of the type of discrete frequency sequences. A method of simulating radar images with account of trajectory instabilities in motion of recognized objects is described.
